The drive indicator for the hot spare hard drive has changed to REBLD A [ array number ]-[ drive number ], indicating the hard drive being replaced by the hot spare. The default is Write-through. However, if the failure is a read error on a data drive, the bad data aata100 is reassigned with the generated data. By default, the logical drive cer is set to all available space in the array s being associated with the current logical drive, accounting for the Span setting and for partially used array space.

The logical drive can occupy space in only one array. You can set the write policy to Write-back or Write-through. Selecting New Csrc erases the existing configuration information on the selected controller. If a hard drive fails and there is no hot spare with enough capacity to replace the failed drive, you must shut down the system, replace the hard drive, and run the BIOS Configuration Utility, WebBIOS, or Array Manager to perform the rebuild manually.
